Prior audit experience or a degree in accounting are not essential.
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, pays attention to detail, has good computer skills.
Experience with data analytics and/or advanced Excel skills a huge plus.
Payroll Compliance Auditor
Responsibilities:
The Payroll Compliance Auditor will be responsible for conducting compliance audits to ensure employers are making the appropriate contributions to their respective benefit fund plans (Pension 401K, Annuity) in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Ability to perform accurate and thorough compliance audits for clients in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
Obtain general understanding of Employer-Union Benefit obligations under various collective bargaining agreements.
Schedule and perform review at employer's location within the tri-state area.
Compare payroll documentation to benefit fund reports to confirm contributions were made correctly.
Expand and prepare a report for any exceptions in an excel format.
Analyze general ledgers and cash disbursement records.
Communicate with employers to ensure all participants receive the benefits they are entitled to.
Prepare various schedules and reports and then explain the results to all parties involved.
Ideal Payroll Compliance Auditor:
Associates degree from an accredited college.
Ability to communicate clearly, both written and orally.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines.
Strong Excel/database skills.
Good decision making and problem solving.
Responsible team player who can work independently as well.
Ability and willingness to drive distance ranging from a few minutes to a few hours from client to client.
High attention to detail.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
Prior experience not required, we will train the right candidates.
