Operations Manager, Lifoam - Process Solutions

Position Title: Operations Manager
Reports to: Plant Manager
Location: North Andover, MA
Job Summary:
Responsible for all activities in the Production, Materials Planning, Material Usage control and Scheduling area including personnel scheduling, MRP, forecasting, plant scheduling and inventory control.
Job Duties:
+ Responsible for the safety, quality, efficiency, financial and customer service results of a manufacturing facility.
+ Manage, analyze and report key performance indicators on a daily, weekly and monthly basis - examine the entire manufacturing process to determine the correct performance measures for the company, change measures and put new ones in place where appropriate.
+ Finished goods and work in process inventory reduction and management - conduct analysis to determine slow moving and obsolete inventory, then initiate and manage the projects to properly dispose (sell, rework, write-off) of that inventory.
+ Inventory/service level optimization ? achieve inventory accuracy targets. Conduct analysis to determine optimum inventory and service level targets for our company, design process changes and execute supporting project work to achieve those targets.
+ Manufacturing process flow optimization ? conduct analysis to determine best manufacturing configuration for efficiency and flexibility.
+ New business/product planning ? manage new business planning process from conception through product sell-off.
+ Forecasting ? develop a forecasting system specific to the company?s needs that is timely, thorough, prevents surprises, and is statistically verifiable.
+ Capacity analysis ? plan for flexibility and responsiveness to near and long term requirements while reducing cycle times.
+ Cost/benefit analysis ? provide senior management potential courses of action on major decisions.
+ Supervisory duties to include leading and developing manufacturing supervisors, maintenance supervisors, planners, schedulers and clerical personnel and hourly operations associates.
+ Builds, trains and develops effective teams and fosters a culture of teamwork and inclusion. Train, empower and hold team members accountable for results.
+ Assists in successfully achieving Supply Chain objectives as evidenced by:
+ Development and implementation of continuous improvement efforts relating to costs, and customer value
+ Successfully manage and implement approved Capital Projects that obtain predetermined goals within budget
+ Work internally and externally to enhance processes
+ Development of financial and strategic plans
+ Development of direct reports to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities
+ Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
+ Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
+ Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or related field
+ 3 to 5 years of experience leading people in manufacturing operations.
+ Knowledge of inventory and demand management such as forecasting, planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing.
+ Experience leading continuous improvement and cost savings in manufacturing operations.
+ Proficient; Microsoft Office Products: Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, SAP Software
+ Must be able to be on feet for most of each work day
+ Standing and walking approximately 85 percent of work time.
+ Must be able to travel 10-15 percent of work time
+ Ability to work overtime or weekends with short notice.
+ Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery.
+ Occasional office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Lean Manufacturing and/or Lean-Six Sigma Certifications.
+ Bilingual; Spanish/English

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
