Distribution CI Manager

The Distribution Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will provide leadership in quality assurance and continuous improvement to ensure that the company meets or exceeds customer requirements, this by developing, improving and maintaining a consistent methodology for compliance and continuous improvement. This position will focus on the distribution centers and transportation operations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Provide guidance, support, and expertise in data collection, process metric definition and analysis, root cause analysis, process modeling, gathering business requirements, process monitoring, process documentation, and process reporting. Drive significant process improvement and optimization cost savings Responsible for the schedule and deliverables of distribution center and transportation operations projects and initiatives Partner with leadership in identifying, verifying, and implementing process improvement and process reengineering opportunities Facilitate process improvement workshops with subject matter experts Help coordinate team activities, issue resolution, and resource planning efforts Work with process owners to create and improve organization's metrics and goals Promote a culture of continuous improvement and empowerment for employees to focus on the customer and apply rigorous process controls and preventive action Utilize "Lean" Techniques in order to insure optimal project transition(s) and minimize/eliminate process waste Create / manage complex & detailed project plans EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering, Supply Chain Management) Master's Degree (MBA Preferred) MANAGEMENT: No Direct Reports QUALIFICATIONS: 7-10 years' experience with Total Quality concepts in a distribution environment Six Sigma Black Belt trained Completion of at least 5 process improvement projects with significant benefits Demonstrated proficiency with statistics and statistical analysis for decision making Experienced in identifying and analyzing problems / issues and making recommendations and implementing solutions Proficient understanding of process design and ability to map processes, activities, decisions and integration with other processes Experienced in the development and management of meaningful business metrics Must have above average understanding of "Lean" tools and philosophies  Formal "Project Management" certification desired (i.e. PMP) Strong interpersonal capabilities with the ability to work cross-functionally with functional leaders on sensitive and/or emotional issues Effective verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to work constructively across functions PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
