Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager- South Central is responsible for the sales of Watts Commercial and Residential Products in the South Central Region (TX, IA, NE, KS, MO, OK, NM, & LA) via manufacturer's representatives, wholesalers, engineers and contractors. Reports to: Director of Sales - Wholesale PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategically manage manufacturer's representatives to sell the Watts product portfolio. Call on wholesalers to gain alignment on the Watts product portfolio and plan for strategic growth. Manage agents in conjunction with the business development managers to call on engineers to gain biased specifications for all Watts products in commercial buildings Manage agents in conjunction with the business development managers to call on commercial and major residential plumbing contractors to influence their brand preference and recommend methods to leverage the One Watts package. Manage agents to identify and track projects, from planning through purchasing, with a focus the one Watts package of products. Jointly produce market development plans for growing each agency's territory and make suggestions for product improvements, promotions and pricing programs to beat out the competition. Develop sales targets for each rep agency that are challenging, but reachable in order to overdrive the AOP.  These should include product categories, distributor target accounts, contractor and engineers. Communicate market activities opportunities, risks and sales forecasting to Director on a routing bases, and to Executive team if/when needed. EDUCATION Requires a bachelor's degree MANAGEMENT: No Direct Reports QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a bachelor's degree Must have at least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the plumbing industry. Must be able to work closely with, and motivate, manufacturer's representatives in order to gain their sales time and facilitate a team effort to drive sales. Must be able to manage long sales cycle campaigns. Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels. Proficient in MS Office products. Superior organizational, analytical and time management skills. Proficient in presenting product ideas at all levels. Must be to analyze and work through problems as they arise and communicate thoroughly to all stakeholders. Must be able to travel up to 60%. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up a minimum of 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in office environment. Potential to work remotely after certain period of time, post-training and/or proven competency.   May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
