MA Here is another extremely rare and important car from the seldom-seen British marque Armstrong Siddeley; this time a Hurricane Drop Head Coupe built in 1946.
Armstrong Siddeley was one of the first British automakers to resume production after World War II.
They continued to use the pre-war 16 hp OHV six-cylinder engine.
but placed it in an advanced independent-front-suspension chassis graced with modern styling.
The newcomers' independent front suspension was a first for Armstrong Siddeley.
and used Girling hydro-mechanical brakes.
There was a choice of traditional pre-selector or four-speed synchromesh transmissions.
This Hurricane's history is not known but it has definitely been selectively refreshed in Fawn and Brown with harmonizing Red upholstery and matching carpet.
The convertible top is not currently operational.
